2016 Playlist: Beached – Julianna Barwick

Julianna Barwick‘s sparse, minimalist sound has earned her comparisons to Liz Harris’ Grouper, and while Beached shares the same beautiful, all-encompassing  gloom,  it also bears a passing resemblance to Elliott Smith’s ‘Waltz #1‘.

It’s very good.
