2016 Playlist: Real Love Baby – Father John Misty

Like apparently a lot of people, my introduction to Father John Misty was through Aziz Ansari’s Netflix sit-com Master of None (which is real good, shot beautifully) during an episode in which Aziz agonises over who to take to a Father John Misty concert and makes a few cracks about there only being white people there.

So we’ve established this isn’t a cool guy pick. When are they ever? Anyway, Real Love Baby is a breezy, summery 70s folk/rock tune that wouldn’t sound out of place on the soundtrack to last year’s fucking brilliant ‘Inherent Vice’.
